Continuing Education Credit for e-PRO course

Your ability to obtain CE credit for the e-PRO course will depend whether the regulatory agency in your state has approved the e-PRO course for CE credit. Each state has its own set of standards as to the type of courses recognized for CE (classroom, distance learning, technology). Separate applications must be made in each state and the number of hours approved will vary as well.

Along with offering CE credit in the following states, e-PRO also is recognized for elective credit in the designation requirements for CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) and RSPS (Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist).

The following states have approved the e-PRO course for CE credit:

Arizona

The Arizona Department of Real Estate has approved the e-PRO course for 6 hours of General Real Estate CE credit. The Arizona Association of REALTORS will provide the CE certificate. There is a $10 processing fee - please contact Sam Takach at SamTakach@aaronline.com (or 602-248-7787) with payment information, your NRDS number and a copy of (or link to) your ePRO completion record. .

California

The California Association of REALTORS has obtained approval from the Department of Real Estate for 12 hours of continuing education credit. Once you take and pass your final exam (must be after the effective date of December 10, 2002), you can apply for your CE credit by sending a copy of your confirmation of passing along with a $10 processing fee payable to CAR to: 525 S. Colorado

The Colorado Division of Real Estate has approved the e-PRO course for continuing education credit for the remaining 15-hour elective requirement. Licensees must retain proof of CE completions for 4 years, and provide said proof to the Commission only upon request.

Connecticut

The Connecticut Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Connecticut Real Estate Commission for 30 hours of continuing education credit. Once you have taken and passed your final exam (must be after the effective date of October 4, 2007), you can apply for CE credit by sending a copy of your confirmation of passing along with a $20 processing fee payable to CT Association of REALTORS® to: 111 Founders Plaza, Suite 1101, East Hartford, CT 06108, Attention: Brett Moody. For Dynamic Directions

The Connecticut Real Estate Commission has approved the e-PRO course for six hours of elective continuing education credit for anyone who started the class after January 4th, 2006. The sponsoring entity is Dynamic Directions. Upon completion of the course, email Dynamic Directions with proof of course completion and we will process your application for the continuing education certificate. There is a $30 processing fee. Georgia

The Georgia Real Estate Commission has approved the e-PRO course for 24 hours continuing education credit. In order to receive credit for this course, you will need to log on to www.garealtor.com under professional development, complete the certification statement for online classes, and mail the statement along with a copy of your e-PRO certificate and a processing fee of $20.00 to Georgia Association of REALTORS®, Attn: Education Coordinator, 3200 Presidential Drive, Atlanta, GA 30340. Upon receipt of the certification statement, and the fee your license will be updated to the Georgia Real Estate Commission as having earned 24 hours continuing education credit.

American Academy of Real Estate

e-PRO has been approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission for 24 hours of continuing education through American Academy of Real Estate. Please complete the student affidavit and submit to American Academy of Real Estate along with a copy of your e-PRO certificate by fax, mail or e-mail. There is a $10 processing fee for the application and is payable by check or credit card.

Hawaii

The Hawaii Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Hawaii Real Estate Commission for three (3) hours of elective CE credits for the successful completion of the e-PRO course. Once you receive your e-PRO certificate as verification of completion of the course, you may submit your CE request form and $10 processing fee to the Hawaii Association of REALTORS. You may receive CE credits only for the biennium in which you completed the course.

Download the e-PRO CE request form from the Hawaii Association of REALTORS’ website at www.hawaiirealtors.com, under Education & Events, e-PRO. Any questions, you may contact the Hawaii Association of REALTORS at (808) 733-7060. Please allow approximately 10 days to process your CE credit.

Idaho

In Idaho, e-PRO is automatically approved for CE credit as a national designation/certification course. It is certified for 15 Elective CE hours. Students need to list the course on the CE verification form which is part of the Idaho license renewal packet. The Provider is InternetCrusade and the certification number is e-Pro.

Illinois

The Illinois Association of REALTORS has gained approval from the Office of Banks and Real Estate for six hours elective continuing education credit for the e-PRO program.

The State of Illinois requires a proctored exam in order to obtain continuing education credit. The processing fee for the exam is $16.00 and is to be paid to the local association proctor. The proctored exam covers similar material as the online Final Exam required to earn your e-PRO Certification. To schedule your exam, contact Carrie Elliott at CElliott@iar.org.

Indiana

Effective July 27, 2006, the Indiana Real Estate Commission granted approval of the e-PRO distance education course for ten (10) hours of elective Continuing Education credits. Indiana Association of REALTORS® (IAR) members that have completed the e-PRO online training on or after July 27, 2006 are eligible for Indiana CE through the IAR.

All Indiana Association of REALTORS® members that are e-PRO graduates must deliver their course completion confirmation and a $25.00 administrative processing fee to:

Iowa

For Cedar Rapids Area Association of REALTORS® Members and Non Members

The Cedar Rapids Area Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Iowa Real Estate Commission for 12 continuing education elective hours. Continuing education credit is only available to those that completed the e-PRO program after September 13, 2004. Please send a copy of your Certificate of Completion to the CRAAR (1860 1st Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). Please include your mailing address, and you will receive a certificate within seven business days of receipt. Please call 319.363.9604 with any further questions.

For Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS®

The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Iowa Real Estate Commission for 12 continuing education elective hours. Please send a copy of your Certificate of Completion to the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® (438 Hwy 1 West, Iowa City, IA 52246). Michigan

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth has approved the e-PRO course for 14 hours of CE credit. These hours do not include the 2 hours of law, rules, and court cases required by the Department of Labor and Economic Growth. CE credit is available to anyone who completes the class after July 16, 2004. Please email a copy of your confirmation of passing to abates@mirealtors.com and the Michigan Association of REALTORS® will report your credit to the licensing board and process your CE certificate.

Minnesota

For Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS®

The Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Minnesota Department of Commerce for 25 continuing education credits for the e-PRO course. Continuing education credit is available to those who started the e-PRO program after January 1, 2004. For North Metro REALTORS® Association

The North Metro REALTORS® Association has obtained approval from the Minnesota Department of Commerce for 25 continuing education credits, effective February 4, 2005, for the e-PRO course. The St. Cloud Area Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Minnesota Department of Commerce for 25 continuing education credits, effective July 1, 2006, for the e-PRO course. New Mexico

The REALTORS Association of New Mexico has obtained approval from the New Mexico Real Estate Commission for 10 hours of TRAINING continuing education credit. Once you take and pass your final exam, you can apply for your CE credit by sending a copy of your course completion confirmation along with a $15 processing fee payable to RANM at: 2201 Brothers Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505, Attn: Education Director. North Dakota

The North Dakota Real Estate Commission has approved the e-PRO course for 20 hours of elective CE credit. CE credit is available to anyone who completed the course after January 1, 2006. The course must be completed within a year of enrollment. Please send a copy of your completion certificate/confirmation of passing to Jill at Jill@ndrealtors.com or fax to 701-258-7211 and the North Dakota Association of REALTORS® will process the CE certificate.

Ohio

The Ohio Association of REALTORS® has gained approval from the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing for 20 hours of continuing education credit for the four modules of the e-PRO course. Each of the four modules is approved for 5 hours of c.e. credit.

There is a fee of $15.00 for a c.e. certificate for each module.

You must apply for each of your certificates at the time of completion of each module. You will see an online application form on the second page after you start the next module. A credit card will be required for completion of the transaction.

Oklahoma

The e-PRO course is approved for 15 elective hours of continuing education credit from the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. To qualify for C.E. credit, you must have passed the e-PRO final exam after July 23, 2004. There is a $15.00 administrative fee to receive credit. Oregon

In Oregon, brokers certify that their agents have met continuing education requirements based on courses and presentations attended. The average time to complete the online program is 25 hours. Brokers can review the e-PRO Program at http://eProNAR.com to help determine the number of hours to approve.

Pennsylvania

e-PRO has been approved by the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission for 15 elective hours of continuing education (CE) credit and/or 1 broker credit. An additional fee of $20 is required to receive the continuing education credit. This fee is not included in the registration fee/tuition for the e-PRO course and must be paid separately to the Pennsylvania REALTORS Institute. Upon completion of the e-PRO course contact the Pennsylvania REALTORS Institute (PA Association of REALTORS) at 800-745-5527 for instructions on how to pay for and receive CE credit.

Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation has approved e-PRO for 12 continuing education hours of credit effective December 20, 2002. The Rhode Island Association of REALTORS will assist their members in processing the CE certificate.

South Dakota

The South Dakota Real Estate Commission has approved the e-PRO course for 22 hours of elective continuing education credit upon successful completion of the course and a minimum score of 80% on the final exam.

(Note: Once you have passed the final exam (which requires a minimum score of 76%), you cannot re-take it in order to qualify for CE credit, so successful completion of the course does not automatically qualify for CE credit.)

Tennessee

The Tennessee Association of REALTORS® has obtained approval from the Tennessee Real Estate Commission for NINETEEN (19) HOURS of Continuing Education (CE) credit for successful completion of the e-PRO course anytime after September 2, 2004. Once you take and pass your final exam, any TAR member can obtain his/her CE credit through TAR by sending a copy of your course completion confirmation from E-Pro, along with a $20 processing fee (payable to TREEF), to:

The Williamson County Association of REALTORS® in Franklin, TN has obtained approval from the Tennessee Real Estate Commission for approved continuing education credit for NAR's e-PRO Online Technology Course, effective August 7, 2003. The completion date makes the difference between whether it is a 6 hour or 19 hour credit. If the completion date is from 8-7-03 to 1-6-04 it is under course# 3890 and is worth 6 hours. If the completion date is from 1-7-04 or after it is under course #3982 and is worth 19 hours. Upon successful completion of the e-PRO course, you may apply for CE credit as follows:

As of September 2003, the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) approved the e-PRO Certification course for 15 hours in MCE electives credit with no hours in legal through August 2009. Once a student has taken the final exam and has received verification of passing from Internet Crusade, he or she must print TREC Form MCE 9-8. Complete what you can in part A (Note: Provider Number and Course Number will be filled in by TAR) of the TREC form, sign, date and time in part B, write a check for $7.50 payable to TAR, and mail to:

  2. MetroTex members must have STARTED the e-PRO course on or after November 14, 2003 to receive credit for the course upon completion.
  3. There is no additional charge for MCE credit for MetroTex members (who satisfy #1 and #2) to receive 15 hours approved MCE credit from TREC. After course completion, print TREC Form MCE 9-8. Complete what you can in part A of the TREC form, sign where it calls for student's signature, date part C, and fax to the MetroTex Education Department at (214) 634-6739.

Virginia

The e-PRO course is approved for 8 hours of real estate related credit for continuing education credit or 8 hours of elective credit for post license education from the Virginia Real Estate Board. To qualify for credit, you must have passed the e-PRO final exam after September 20, 2006. There is a $10.00 administrative fee to receive credit. Washington

The Washington Association of REALTORS® has gained clock hour approval from the Department of Licensing for the e-PRO course. You will receive 15 clock hours upon successful completion of the online course. There is an additional fee of $25.00 for obtaining clock hours. Wyoming

The Wyoming Association of REALTORS® has received approval from the Wyoming Real Estate Commission for 15 elective CE hours for e-PRO. CE credit is available to anyone who completed the class after March 2, 2007. Please send a copy of your confirmation of passing and contact information to the Wyoming Association of REALTORS® at war@wyorealtors.com or 951 Werner Court, Suite 300, Casper, WY 82601.
